Beacon House Parties are back by popular demand!!
Beacon’s much-loved house parties are now being scheduled for the upcoming winter and spring seasons. House parties are an excellent way to strengthen our Beacon community by bringing parents together in a relaxed environment to get acquainted with each other.
If you are willing to host a house party or have suggestions about potential themes, please contact Kate Ryan at firstname.lastname@example.org.

What makes our school great is not only our terrific students, teachers and staff – but you, the parents, who do so much on an individual and collective basis for Beacon.
Our Parent Association is second to none in terms of its enthusiasm, professionalism and desire to meaningfully support the school in a wide range of ways. Most recently, Parent Association volunteers have been working tirelessly to raise funds to keep the many enriching activities that our students enjoy alive and well through the school year and beyond.
Many thanks to the volunteers and to those of you who have already contributed to the annual appeal! Through Giving Tuesday, the Parent Association has raised $129,000 of its $400,000 goal.
I would be remiss; however, if I did not also share that the Parent Association is running 20% behind last year’s Annual Appeal contributions and that in order to maintain all current clubs, sports, music and other extra-curricular activities after February 1, 2017, another $100,000 must be raised by year-end.
Over the days ahead, the Parent Association will be highlighting for you some of the many after-school programs that they are working so hard to maintain. Our collective goal is to avoid having to eliminate for the second half of the year what our students have so greatly enjoyed during the first half.
Please lend a hand if you haven’t already by making a tax-deductible contribution. If you already have given, please contribute a bit more if you are in a position to do so. And, please accept my sincere thanks for doing so and for all you do.
